Sulfacetamide is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder chemicals(At room temperature, it appears as a white powder.). The chemical name is N-(4-aminobenzenesulfonyl)acetamide, the molecular formula is C8H10N2SO3, and the molecular weight is 214.242. Sulfaacetin is an anti-infective drug. It is mainly used for ocular infections such as bacterial superficial conjunctivitis, keratitis, mumps and orbital inflammation. It is used for trachoma and fungal keratitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. adjuvant therapy, trauma, chronic dacryocystitis, conjunctiva and cornea before and after surgery to prevent infection.

Sulfacetamide as a medicine is available as solution, eye drops, lotion, and powder.Medicine for the treatment of conjunctivitis, blisters and other eye infections. It is mainly used to treat sulphate such as conjunctivitis, blisters and other eye infections, or to treat infections caused by bacteria.

Sulfacetamide 10% topical lotion, sold under the brand name Klaron or Ovace, is approved for the treatment of acne and seborrheic dermatitis. When combined with sulfur, it is sold under the brand names Plexion, Clenia, Prascion, and Avar, which contain 10% sulfacetamide and 5% sulfur.
